At just under 15 km, the Reseau de la Tessone is now the second longest in the Gard department. Even if the part accessible to non-divers is only 3.7 km long. Nevertheless, a visit to the Grotte de Calles (or as a traverse to the Event de Bez) has become an absolute classic. The narrow entrance section leads to the truly enormous Salles du Balcon and Phare. Here is the Mikado shaft, which allows you to descend to the middle level. This leads on to the huge and beautiful Transcaussenarde gallery. We did not continue on to the deepest and most active level. But it does offer a beautiful traverse!
Conclusion: an absolute must
